Tax Free Zones in Colombia

Colombia has the most tax free zones in Latin America. This provides many business opportunities for international companies.

Zona Franca de Barranquilla

The Zona Franca de Barranquilla is one of the biggest tax free zones in Colombia. It is more than a commercial and industrial center with tax breaks. You will also find logistics services along with repackaging and storage services. Both international and local businesses receive the many advantages of residing within the zone. Industries such as manufacturing, plastics, construction, beverages, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals operate in the zone.

Zona Franca de Bogotá

This zone focuses on technology and services industries. This zone features many rooftop gardens and terraces with an emphasis on sustainability.

Zona Franca de la Candelaria

The Candelaria zone is in the center of the country making it easy to ship goods to all regions of Colombia and neighboring countries. The zone allows for storage, repackaging, and distribution in a safe and secure setting. The building is eco-friendly with natural light and a green ventilation system. This location is also open to both foreign and local companies.

Zona Franca de Eje Cafetero

Eje Cafetero offers services to both national and international businesses. The site provides storage and logistics services. The site features fiber optics, customs, and administration services.

Zona Franca Metropolitana

The Metropolitana Zone focuses on technology, services, and logistics. This zone is closest to Bogota and El Dorado airport which has the largest amount of air cargo in Latin America. Both national and international businesses can operate in the zone. Many international call centers operate there as well as companies looking to outsource services.

Zona Franca Internacional de Pereira

The Pereira zone is located near air, land, and ocean transportation in the center of Bogotá, Medellín, and Cali. This zone is near all key ports, particularly close to Buenaventura, and several airports. This site has top security and technology, a fire station, and intermodal and distribution services.

Zona Franca del Pacífico

At the Pacífico zone, you have both industrial and logistics services. Both national and international companies enjoy duty-free services. The zone is near many roadways leading to cities and within two hours of the port of Buenaventura. You can rent office space, an industrial plant, or space for storage of your goods.

Zona Franca de Palmaseca

The location of the zone is near Cali, Yumo, Cencar, Palmira, and Via Ferrea. It is only a few hours from the port of Buenaventura and meters from an international airport. The Panama Canal is a mere eight-hour drive. The zone has its electricity grid, a water purification system, fiber optics, and more. You can store foreign goods on site for any length of time.

Zona Franca Parque Central

Parque Central is close to Cartagena. This location is also near transportation terminals, ports, and manufacturing. The zone has its own software to track goods and inventories. Much of the activity at this zone involves logistics services and repackaging and distribution.

Zona Franca Río Negro

The Río Negro zone is near Medellin. The zone is open to national and international companies. They have their own software services, logistics services, operations and administration services, distribution, packaging, and more. The site also provides help for to tourism, technology support, and medical care.

Zona Franca de Santa Marta

Santa Marta is outside the city of Santa Marta on the Atlantic coast and one of Colombia’s busiest ports. It focuses on logistics services and industrial needs. In this zone, you will find logistics services, consolidation, distribution, storage lots, and more.
